Our Process

Andrew Cornell

We welcome new clients. This is what a typical new engagement looks like:

The initial step is a telephone call — at no charge — to briefly discuss the case.  This is followed up with a one to two hour in-person consultation. This gives us an opportunity to understand the specific facts of your situation and the case at hand. It often includes an in-depth discussion of both the procedural and substantive aspects of Massachusetts divorce law as applied to your case, and what options make sense.

The next step, should you choose to work with us, is to have an honest discussion about the journey that lies ahead for you and your family, and any potential options to consider, including parenting transitions, financial implications, and asset allocation.

Most importantly, we will help you navigate the legal system, and always advocate vigorously on your behalf. We will guide you through the legal process, prepare any necessary legal documents, and advise you along the way to help you through the entire process to resolution, including court representation if necessary.

Advocacy. Experience. Results.

We have litigated hundreds of contested family law cases, and have obtained positive results for clients engaged in wide variety of situations, including:

  • Complex custody cases and disputes

  • The division of significant marital assets

  • Resolution of real estate holdings and business interest.

We recognize that bruising, costly legal battles often can be avoided through expertise, experience and thorough preparation. Contact us today to see how we can help.
